    They'll waltz across Texas for this one.

    List of Ingredients

    • 2 lb. beef, chopped or ground
    • flour
    • 1c. water
    • 1/2c. shortening or lard
    • 1/2c. chopped onions
    • 2T. minced garlic
    • 4T. chili powder
    • 2T. paprika
    • 1/2 t. cayenne pepper
    • 1t. salt
    • juice of 1 lemon
    • 3 oz. tomato sauce


    1. Cook the beef in a pot of cold water until it boils and meat is brown.
    2. Skim off excess grease. In a small skillet, combine enough flour and 1c. water to make a thin paste.
    3. Cook until browned. Add to beef. Add remaining ingredients and cook slowly for 1 hour.
    4. Makes: 6-8 servings.
