    Onion Mushroom Gravy

    List of Ingredients


    • 1t. vegetable oil
    • 1 small onion, minced
    • 1c. chopped mushrooms
    • 1 can (13 3/4 oz) beef broth
    • 3/4c. plus 1T. water
    • 2T. chopped parsley
    • 1/2t dried thyme
    • 1/2t Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 1/2T. cornstarch
    • 1/8t. pepper


    Instructions


    1. Heat oil in saucepan over medium low heat. Add onion and saute 6 minutes or until soft and starting to brown.
    2. Add mushrooms and saute until soft, about 2 minutes. Add broth, the 3/4c. water, parsley, thyme, and Worcestershire. Boil 8 minutes or until reduced to 2c.
    3. Stir the 1T. water and cornstarch in a small cup until smooth. Stir into broth mixture.
    4. Simmer 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in pepper.
