Grilled Swiss Cheese and Mushroom Bread*

6-slices of French loaf cut on an angle
2-tbsp capers, dried with a paper towel
2-cups grated Swiss cheese
2-cups sliced fresh mushrooms
3/4-cup red wine
1/8-tsp cornstarch
Garlic butter
Sauté the mushrooms in the red wine and cornstarch until all of the wine is gone
Line a plate or tray with waxed paper
Butter the bread slices with the garlic butter and place the butter side down on the tray
Evenly spread the capers and mushrooms over each bread slice
Cover with the grated cheese
Grill until cheese is melted and bottom lightly toasted
