    Chuckwagon Beef & Bean Skillet

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb. ground beef
    • 1/2c. onion, chopped
    • 1 small green bell pepper, chopped
    • 1 can beef broth
    • 1 1/2c. uncooked wagonwheel or elbow pasta
    • 1c. hickory flavored BBQ sauce
    • 1/4c. water
    • 1 (10 to 15 oz) can pork & beans
    • 1/2c. shredded cheddar or colby cheese


    Instructions


    1. In large skillet brown ground beef, onion and bell pepper. Drain.
    2. Stir in broth, pasta, BBQ sauce and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10-15 minutes, or until pasta is almost tender.
    3. Uncover; stir in pork & beans. Continue to cook about 10 minutes or until pasta is tender and sauce is thickened, stirring occasionally.
    4. Sprinkle with cheese before serving.
    5. Yield: four 1 1/4 c. servings
