Here's another way of cookin hushpuppies.





List of Ingredients



• 1 c. cornmeal (waterground)
  
• 1 onion, chopped
  
• 1t. salt
  
• 2t. bakin powder
  
• 3/4 to 1c. milk
  
• 1/2c. flour
  
• 1t. salt
  
• Smidgeon of sugar (pinch)
  
• 1 egg, stirred up
  
• 1T. shortenin, melted
  






Instructions



1. Sift flour, meal, salt and bakin powders together. Add egg and milk and mix into dry ingredients.
   
2. Add chopped onion. Drop from tablespoon into deep, hot fat, and fry til golden brown.
   
3. Serves: 6 to 8
