    I recollect likin to dunk these into a glass of buttermilk. Mighty good when crumbled up.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 qt. hot water
    • corn meal
    • 1c. yeast
    • 1c. potato water
    • 1c. lard
    • 1c. sugar
    • 1/8t. salt
    • flour


    Instructions


    1. Make mush with hot water an cornmeal. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    2. Mix all the other ingredients together. Add salt and stir in enough flour to make dough.
    3. Let it rise in a warm place, an when hit doubles hits size, cut hit into biscuits and bake hit in moderate oven til golden brown.
