    Cream Filling

    1950's better homes and gardens cookbook

    List of Ingredients

    • 5T. enriched flour
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/2 t. salt
    • 2 cups milk, scalded
    • 2 slightly beaten eggs
    • 1 t. vanilla


    1. Mix flour, sugar, salt; slowly stir in milk; cook in double boiler 15 minutes or till thick.

    2. Add a little of hot mixture to eggs; stir into remaining hot mixture. Continue cooking 3 minutes; add vanilla; cool.

    3. Makes 2 1/3 cups.
