    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup shortening
    • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
    • 2 1/2 cups brown sugar
    • 2 well beaten eggs
    • 2 1/2 cups sifted enriched flour
    • 1/2t. soda
    • 1/4t. salt
    • 1 cup chopped pecans


    Instructions


    1. Thoroughly cream shortening, butter, and sugar; add eggs; beat well.
    2. Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture; add nuts.
    3. Drop from teaspoon, about 2 inches apart, onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven (350) 12 to 15 minutes.
    4. Makes 5 dozen
