Cheesy Baked Ziti*

- 8 oz. ziti
- 2T. butter or margarine
- 1 med. onion, chopped
- 2T. all purpose flour
- 1/2t. dry mustard
- 1/2t. freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded fontina or cheddar cheese
- Topping:
- 3T. Italian style bread crumbs
- 1T. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1T. butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 2 qt. baking dish. Cook pasta according to pkg. directions.
- Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion; cook, stirring until translucent, about 10 minutes. Add flour, mustard and pepper; mix well.
- Whisk in milk; cook, whisking, until thickened. Add fontina; cook, stirring, until cheese is melted.
- Drain pasta in a colander; gently stir pasta into cheese sauce. Transfer to prepared baking dish. For topping, in a small bowl, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan and melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over pasta mixture. Bake until browned, about 25 minutes.
