    Asian Sweet-Spicy Dipping Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 1c. sugar
    • 1/2c. water
    • 1/2c. white vinegar
    • 1/2t. salt
    • 2t. chili paste with garlic (or to taste)


    Instructions


    1. Combine sugar, water, vinegar and salt in a small saucepan.
    2. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer until syrupy, but do not allow sauce to caramelize, about 15 to 20 mins.
    3. Remove from heat and stir in chili paste with garlic. Cool.
    4. Serve as a dipping sauce for chicken wings or shrimp.
