    Basic Marinara Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 4 cloves garlic, sliced in half
    • 1(35oz) can Italian tomatoes
    • 3 basil leaves, chopped
    • 1/4c. olive oil
    • 1/2t. oregano
    • salt and pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. Heat olive oil in skillet. Add garlic, saute until soft.
    2. Crush tomatoes and add the juice. Fill empty tomato can 1/4 of the way with water and pour in with tomatoes.
    3. Add salt, pepper, basil and oregano. Bring to a boil, then simmer and cook 20-30 mins.
