    List of Ingredients


    • 3T. safflower oil
    • 3 finely diced onions
    • 2 finely diced green bell peppers
    • 3 finely diced celery stalks
    • 20 peeled, seeded and chopped tomatoes
    • 2t. salt
    • 2t. paprika
    • 1t. garlic powder
    • 1t. onion powder
    • 1t. cayenne pepper
    • 1/2t. white pepper
    • 1/2t. black pepper
    • 1t. basil leaves
    • 1/2t. oregano leaves
    • 1/2t. thyme leaves
    • 6 diced green onions
    • 1 bunch chopped parsley


    Instructions


    1. Heat the oil in a large sauce pan. Saute the onion, celery and green pepper until tender.
    2. Add the tomatoes and seasonings, simmer gently until the desired thickness has been achieved(about 4 hours)
    3. Add the green onion and parsley. Simmer 15 minutes longer. Sauce is ready for use.
    4. Yields: 4-6 cups
