List of Ingredients
- 3T. safflower oil
- 3 finely diced onions
- 2 finely diced green bell peppers
- 3 finely diced celery stalks
- 20 peeled, seeded and chopped tomatoes
- 2t. salt
- 2t. paprika
- 1t. garlic powder
- 1t. onion powder
- 1t. cayenne pepper
- 1/2t. white pepper
- 1/2t. black pepper
- 1t. basil leaves
- 1/2t. oregano leaves
- 1/2t. thyme leaves
- 6 diced green onions
- 1 bunch chopped parsley
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large sauce pan. Saute the onion, celery and green pepper until tender.
- Add the tomatoes and seasonings, simmer gently until the desired thickness has been achieved(about 4 hours)
- Add the green onion and parsley. Simmer 15 minutes longer. Sauce is ready for use.
- Yields: 4-6 cups
