3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 cup finely chopped onion
3/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
3 tablespoons HERSHEY'S Cocoa
3 tablespoons Worchestershire sauce
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
Recipe
1. Melt butter in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat; add onion. Cook until tender. Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, cocoa, Worchestershire sauce, tomato paste, vinegar, mustard and hot pepper sauce.
2. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally; remove from heat. Serve warm as topping for grilled hot dogs, burgers, chicken or steak. If sauce starts to become too thick, add water 1 tablespoon at a time. Refrigerate leftovers. About 2 cups sauce.
