    Swiss-Cheddar Sauce

    2-tbsp butter or margarine

    2-tbsp all-purpose flour

    1/4-tsp salt

    1 1/4-cups milk

    2-ounces sharp process American cheese, shredded (1/2 cup)

    2-ounces process Swiss cheese, shredded (1/2 cup)


    Melt butter; blend in flour and salt. Add milk all at once. Cook, stirring constantly, till mixture thickens and bubbles. Remove from heat; stir in cheeses till melted. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
