    • 2 lb. dry pinto beans
    • 1t. salt
    • 2 large onions, diced
    • 3 garlic cloves, diced
    • 1 1/2t. black pepper
    • 1/2t. ground cumin
    • 1 (4oz) can taco sauce
    • 1(4oz) can roasted green chilies
    • 1(16oz) can diced tomatoes


    Instructions


    1. Soak beans overnight or bring to boil, turn off, let stand 1 hour.
    2. Drain, cover with water, add salt and boil for about an hour adding water to cover as needed.
    3. Add onion, garlic, black pepper, cumin, taco sauce, chilies and tomatoes.
    4. Cook over reduced heat until beans are tender, approximately 1 1/2 hours.
