    • 1/4 lb. sliced bacon
    • 3 (14 1/2 oz) cans green beans, undrained
    • 1/4 yellow onion
    • 1t. sugar
    • 1/2t. salt
    • 1/2t. pepper


    Instructions


    1. In a 2 qt. saucepan over medium heat, cook bacon until lightly brown but not crisp.
    2. When bacon has browned, add green beans. Add salt, sugar and pepper; mix well.
    3. Place onion on top of beans. Cover and bring to a light boil.
    4. Turn heat down to low and simmer for 45 minutes.
