Tomato Beef Stew

List of Ingredients
- 1 lb. beef cubes
- 2T. seasoned flour
- 2T. shortening
- 1 (10 1/2oz) can condensed tomato soup
- 1 soup can water
- 6 small whole white onions
- 6 small carrots, cut in half
- 3 potatoes, quartered
- 1/4t. whole thyme
Instructions
- Dust meat with flour; brown in shortening in large heavy pan.
- Add soup and water. Cover; simmer 1 1/2 hours. Add remaining ingredients.
- Cover; cook 1 hour or until vegetables are tender. Stir now and then.
- To thicken, uncover; cook until desired consistency.
- Serves: 4
