    Apple Cake

    4 cups diced apples & 2 cups sugar mixed
    together (less sugar if apples are sweet)
    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    1 cup walnuts
    2 eggs & 2 teaspoons vanilla well beaten
    2 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    2 teaspoons cinnamon
    1 teaspoon salt

    Mix everything together and bake in a greased and floured 9 x 15 x 2
    flat cake pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour.

    Frosting

    6 tablespoons butter
    4 1/2 to 4 3/4 cups powdered sugar
    1/4 cup milk
    lemon to taste (fresh is best)

    Spread frosting on cooled cake.
