    Burgundy Barbecued Steak

    Source of Recipe

    Internet

    List of Ingredients

    2-pound beef sirloin steak
    1 1/2 cups burgundy wine
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1/2 cup soy sauce
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup finely crumbled Gorganzola cheese

Place the steak in a plastic zip-lock bag. Combine the wine with the onion, soy sauce and pepper, and add the mixture to the bag. Press the air out of the bag and close securely. Turn the bag a few times to evenly coat the steak with the marinade then refrigerate it for about 4 hours.

Prepare your grill. When the coals are hot, remove the steak from the marinade and place it on the grill 4 to 5 inches from the coals. Cook 7 to 10 minutes on each side, or to desired degree of doneness. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top side of the steak during the last few seconds of cooking.

Remove the steak to a cutting board, and slice it across the grain into thin slices. This recipe will serve 4 people.
