Take one jar of maraschino cherries.
Drain off the sickly red syrup.
Replace it with Clear Spring / Everclear /
Any-other-grain / Bacardi 151 (for those
without grain) / Vodka.

You will notice a cloudiness as the alcohol
strips some coloring from the cherries.
When the cloudiness is gone, it means
the cherries have reabsorbed the coloring.
Pop one in the mouth and chew.
Can also be used to efficiently spike a drink.
