    Breakfast 'Mac and Cheese'

    Source of Recipe

    Internet

    List of Ingredients

1 cup pastina (I can only find Ronzoni brand here in Gator Town)
    2 cups water
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 TBS butter
4 slices American cheese, torn into pieces
    milk, to taste (optional)

In a 2 quart saucepan combine pastina, water and salt. Bring to a boil, cover and turn down heat to a simmer.

Simmer until nearly all water is absorbed, about 5-10 minutes.

Leaving on simmer, stir in butter. Add torn Amercian cheese, one slice at a time, stirring until melted.
(My sister prefers her cheese more obvious, so she stirs it in off the heat to leave a few lumps)

Serve in two bowls. I like to add milk to mine, stirring it in until almost a soupy consistancy, but Paul, Beorn and my sister all prefer it without the milk. Paul even likes put brown sugar into his.
