1 quart water
3 cups sugar
12 level Tablespoons instant coffee
3 cups 100-proof vodka
3 Tablespoons pure vanilla

Bring water, sugar, and instant coffee to a boil. Let simmer 1 hour; cool. Add vodka and vanilla. Bottle and use.

Ingredients (Recipe 2)
3 cups water
4 cups sugar
1/2 cup freeze dried coffee
3 cups water
1 gallon 80-proof vodka
1 vanilla bean split lengthwise

Bring water and sugar to boil in one pan. Boil 20 minutes. Cool. Add vodka, vanilla bean, and sugar and freeze dried coffee mixture. Place in a large jar (gallon container). Shake and stir to mix. When completely cool, cap and let set. Wait two weeks before using. Shake and stir.
