    2 1/2 cups of flour
    1/2 teaspoon of salt
    1/2 teaspoon of soda
    4 tablespoons of sugar
    1 package of yeast
    1/4 cup of warm water
    2/3 stick margarine
    1 cup of buttermilk

    Melt margarine in small saucepan. Add buttermilk. Remove from heat, let cool to lukewarm. Combine the flour, sugar, salt and soda and sift once. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Add to dry mixture. Mix well. Turn out on floured board. Knead 20 times. Roll out. Cut with biscuit cutter. Butter top of each biscuit. Let rise 2 hours. Bake at 350ºF. for 20 minutes.
