    Honey Peanut Steamed Tea Bread

    Bread
    3/4 cup all-purpose flour
    3/4 cup whole wheat flour
    1 cup finely ground roasted salted peanuts
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/2 cup honey
    1/2 cup sour cream
    2/3 cup cooled strong orange spice tea

    Butter
    1/4 cup butter, softened
    2 Tbsp creamy style peanut butter
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1/2 tsp orange extract
    1/4 cup heavy cream
    1/4 cup finely chopped roasted salted peanuts

    Directions: Mix together all the ingredients for the bread in a large bowl till well blended. Put into a 1 1/2 quart pyrex bowl. Cover the bowl tightly with foil. Place the bowl on a steamer rack and steam over medium heat 1 1/2- 2 hours or till the bread tests done. Cool 15 minutes then unmold. For the butter cream the butter, peanut butter, sugar and extract together in a small bowl till well blended. Stir in the cream and chopped peanuts. Serve wedges of warm bread with the butter.

    Yield: Makes 1 loaf.
