    1 devils food cake mix
    1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    oil (how much is determined by cake mix directions)
    eggs (how many is determined by cake mix directions)
    buttermilk (how much is determined by cake mix directions)

    Recipe



    Prepare cake mix according to package directions, EXCEPT substitute water for buttermilk (for example, if the package calls for 1 cup water, add 1 cup buttermilk) and add vanilla and sugar.

    Mix well and pour into cake pan or muffin cups.

    Bake in a preheated oven according to package directions.

    Frosting:
    1 box confectioners sugar
    1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    1 tsp vanilla
    1/4 cup coffee powder (do not use coffee granules... a powder such as one of the General Foods International Coffees works best)
    1/4 cup softened butter
    3 Tbsp milk

    Mix well, spread on cake after the cake has cooled for about 10 minutes.
