List of Ingredients
1 lb hamburger
1/3 cup chopped onion
salt and pepper (to taste)
2 tsp chili powder
4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
1/3 cup white rice, uncooked
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
1 (#2) can of diced tomatoes
1/3 cup catsup
1/3 cup water
Recipe
Brown hamburger and onion in skillet until brown. Add salt, pepper and chili powder - cook for another minute or two to mix. Remove meat mixture from pan.
Layer potatoes in bottom of same pan. Pour dry rice on top of potatoes. Then layer the meat mixture, then the green pepper. DO NOT STIR. Pour can of tomatoes with juice on top.
Mix the catsup and water together and pour over entire mixture.
Place lid on pan and cook on low for 30 minutes. DO NOT STIR.
Serve with corn bread or corn sticks.
