    Beef & Noodle Humble Helper

    Source of Recipe

    Internet

    List of Ingredients

8 ounces egg noodles (about 4 cups)
    1/2 cup instant powdered milk
    2 tablespoons flour
    1 tablespoon dry onion
    1 teaspoon onion powder
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/8 teaspoon pepper
    4 beef bouillon cubes

Combine the noodles and all of the other ingredients in a resealable plastic container. I like to use zip-lock bags. Label and Seal and the container. Store on the pantry shelf. This is enough for 1 package of mix. Make several at a time for the most conveneince.

    To Prepare:
    1 pound ground beef
1 package Beef & Noodle Humble Helper (above)
    5 cups tap water
1 tablespoon ketchup (or a fast food packet of ketchup)

Get out a very large skillet. Fry the hamburger in it, breaking it up into small pieces with a fork. When it is cooked all the way through, drain off the fat if necessary. Add the water and bring it to a boil. Add the contents of the Humble Helper package. Stir it to dissolve the dry ingredients and then reduce the heat. It should simmer gently. You can put a lid on it if you like, but stir it rather often, because it has a tendency to stick. Cook the mixture for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the noodles are tender to your taste. Add the ketchup and stir to dissolve. Serve hot with a green vegetable.
