    Five-Star Beef Stroganoff

    Source of Recipe

    Internet

    List of Ingredients

    2 - 2 1/2 pounds leanest ground beef *
    1 extra large onion diced
    1 bell pepper diced
    2 sticks celery diced
    1/4 tsp. Parsley flakes
3 heaping Tbsp. Wyler’s Beef Granules
    1 can diced green chilies
1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 1/2 cups water (approximate)
    1 pound wide noodles

    Recipe

In a large probably 12-inch skillet put the very leanest ground beef that you can buy,* the diced onion, diced bell pepper, and diced celery. Cook, and scramble it over low to medium heat, until the meat is done. I use a lid. You don’t have to watch constantly, but check periodically, and sort of stir and turn it so it cooks properly. Add the parsley flakes, beef granules, green chilies, and the soup which has been thinned with the water. Heat and hold on low while in a separate large pan you cook the noodles according to the package directions, usually 6-8 minutes. When the noodles are done, remove from the heat, drain and add the meat mixture, mixing it into the noodles.

    * I have the butcher special grind about 20 pkgs. at a time, telling him that I want it so lean there isn’t any grease in the skillet when I cook it. Some places will grind just a pkg. at a time per your specifications.
