Stuffed Baked Franks

1 pound large frankfurters (5-6)
1/4 c finely chopped onion
1 T butter
2 c herb seasoned stuffing mix
1/4 c catsup
1 T sweet pickle relish
3 slices sharp American cheese
Recipe
Cut franks lengthwise almost to opposite side.
Sauté onion in butter
Combine stuffing, onion, catsup, relish, and 3/4 c water; mix well. Mound on top of franks.
Place on baking sheet and bake 400° till heated, about 10-12 minutes
Cut cheese slices into strips and place on top of franks, return to oven and heat till cheese melts.
