    Three Bean Hamburger Casserole

    1 can pork and beans (1 lb.)
    1 can butter beans (1 lb.)
    1 can kidney beans (1 lb.)
    1 lb. hamburger 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/4 - 1/2 lb. bacon cut into 1 inch pieces
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 c. catsup 1/2 tsp. salt

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350. Drain and save liquid from the 3 cans of beans. In a skillet, brown the bacon, hamburger, and onion. Drain off grease, then combine the beans and hamburger mixture in a greased 3 quart casserole. In a small bowl, combine the sugar, catsup, vinegar, and salt. Pour over the bean mixture and bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. If the casserole gets dry, add some of the drained bean liquid. Note: Left overs of this casserole are great as flavors continue to combine while waiting to be warmed over.
