    Almond Toffee Cookies

    2 1/4 c flour
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 c butter
    1 c firmly packed brown sugar
    1 1/2 T instant coffee
    1 tsp almond extract
    1 c semi sweet chocolate bits
    1/2 c slivered almonds

    Recipe



    Combine all ingredients except nuts and chocolate bits. Blend with mixer until coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts and chocolate bits. Press on a greased 15x10x1" jelly roll pan. Bake 350° 20-25 minutes

    Almond Glaze

    1 T butter
    3/4 c powdered sugar
    1/8 tsp almond extract
    1-2 T milk

    Combine butter, sugar, and extract. Add milk 1 T at a time until of spreading consistency.
