    Cookie:

    2 squares un-sweetened chocolate
    1/2 cup butter
    2 eggs
    1 cup sugar
    1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
    1/2 cup flour pinch of salt
    1/2 cup chopped nuts

    Frosting:

    1 cup confectioners' sugar
    2 tablespoons butter
    1 tablespoon evaporated milk
    1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
    a drop or two green food coloring

    Glaze:

    2 squares un-sweetened chocolate
    2 tablespoons butter

    Recipe



    Melt chocolate and butter. Add eggs which have been beaten with sugar.
    Stir in remaining cookie ingredients and bake in a buttered 8 or 9-inch square cake pan at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool.
    Mix frosting ingredients, spread on cookie and chill.
    Melt butter and chocolate for glaze. Spread over frosting.
    Store in refrigerator in warm weather.
    This recipe easily doubled.
