    Criss Cross Raisin Cookies

    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 egg
    1 Tblsp milk
    1/2 tsp lemon extract
    3/4 tsp cream of tartar
    3/4 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 3/4 cup flour
    1/2 cup raisins, chopped


    In large bowl cream together the butter, sugar and egg. Mix in the remaining ingredients and roll into balls the size of walnuts. Place balls about 3" apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten in a criss cross pattern with a fork dipped in flour. Bake at 400 degrees F for 8-10 minutes.
