    2 c flour
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp ginger
    1/8 tsp allspice
    1/4 tsp nutmeg
    1/2 c butter
    1/2 c light brown sugar
    1 egg yolk
    1/2 c molasses
    1/2 c hot water
    1 tsp baking soda

    Recipe



    Combine flour, and spices

    In another bowl cream butter and sugar with electric mixer on med. speed, until light and fluffy, then beat in egg yolk.

    Add molasses, water, baking soda and the flour mixture. Mix thoroughly

    Drop by rounded teaspoons onto greased baking sheet, leaving 2" between cookies. Bake 350° 12 minutes


    Makes 48 cookies.
