    2 Cups rolled oats
    1/2 Cup brown sugar
    1/2 Cup butter or oleo
    1/4 Cup dark corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 pkg. (6-oz) semi-sweet chocolate bits
    1/4 Cup chopped nuts

    Recipe



    Mix oats and sugar
    Melt butter, add sugar, salt and vanilla. Mix well, pour over oat mixture. Pat out into greased 9x9 square pan
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes in preheated 400º oven. Do not overbake! It will be bubbly when done
    While it cools, melt chocolate. Spread chocolate, sprinkle on nuts
    Cut into 32 bars
