    1/2 c. soft butter or shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. thick sour cream
    1 t. vanilla
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 t. baking soda
    1/2 t. baking powder
    1/2 t. salt

    Recipe



    Mix together the butter or shortening with the sugar and eggs. Stir in the sour cream and vanilla. Sift together and stir in remaining ingredients.

    Chill at least 1 hour. Drop rounded teaspoonful 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet.

    Bake until delicately brown in 400° oven.
