    1 1/2 cups flour
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. unsalted butter
    3-oz cream cheese
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 egg yolk (reserve white) for filling
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 cups walnuts
    1/2 cup sugar

    Recipe



    Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt on piece of wax paper
    Beat together butter, cream cheese and sugar in bowl until creamy
    Beat in egg white & vanilla until well mixed
    Stir in flour mixture
    Divide dough into thirds
    Shape each into disk; wrap up and refrigerate until well chilled
    Meanwhile, make filling: beat egg white until frothy
    Mix in 1 cup ground walnuts & 1/2 cup sugar,
    Roll out dough disk to 6 1/2 to 7 inch circle
    Spread 1/3 filling on each circle, leaving 1/4 inch border around edge of circle
    Cut into 12 wedges, roll up each wedge from edge to point in center
    Place point side down on ungreased cookie sheets
    Bake at 350° for 12-14 minutes until lightly brown
    Cool & dust with confectioner's sugar
    Makes 3 dozen
