    White Chocolate Meringue Dessert Bars

    2 cups flour
    1/2 cup powdered sugar
    1 cup butter, softened
    2 cup white chocolate chips
    1-1/2 cups nuts, divided (they didn't use these but it would have been even tastier if they had)
    3 egg whites
    1 cup brown sugar
    With a pastry cutter, blend flour, powdered sugar and butter until crumbly
    Press into a greased 13 x 9 baking pan Bake 15 minutes. Remove from oven.
    Sprinkle chips and one cup of nuts over hot crust
    Beat egg whites in small bowl until frothy
    Gradually add brown sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form.
    Carefully spread meringue over morsels and nuts
    Sprinkle with remaining nuts
    Bake an additional 15 to 20 minutes
    Cut into bars while still warm
