    1/4 lb. bacon, diced
    2 medium onions, thinly
    4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
    1/2 lb. Gruyere or cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
    salt and pepper (to taste)
    sliced butter

    Recipe



    Line Crock-Pot with aluminum foil, leaving enough to overlap potatoes when finished.

    Layer half each of the bacon, onions, potatoes, and cheese in Crock-Pot. Season to taste and dot with butter. Repeat layers of bacon, onions, potatoes and cheese. Dot with butter. Overlap with remaining foil.

    Cover and cook on Low 10-12 hours, or High 3-4 hours.

    Servings: 4 to 6 (about 3 1/2 quarts)
