    3-4 lbs. lean pork spareribs cut in serving pieces.
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1 small can sauerkraut
    1 large onion
    1 apple, quartered, cored and sliced
    1 tsp. caraway seeds or dill week
    1 cup water

    Recipe



    Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper. Brown ribs for 30 minutes in heavy skillet or broiler pan in the oven. Put alternate layers of spareribs, sauerkraut, onion, and applie in Crock-Pot. Add caraway seeds or dill weed to water and pour over all. Cover and set on Low cooking for 6-8 hours.
