Savory Crock Pot Sirloin Tip Roast

    Source of Recipe

    Internet

    List of Ingredients

    - 1 3-4 lb. Sirloin Tip Roast
    - All Purpose Flour (to cover roast)
    - 3-4 tbs. Vegetable Oil
    - approx. one fork full Minced Garlic
    - Salt and Pepper to cover roast
    - Garlic salt to cover roast
    - 5-6 med. Red Potatoes cut into 1-2 in. pieces
    - 1/2 small bag baby carrots
    - 1 1/2 c. of water
    - 3 chicken bouillon cubes
    - (optional) 3/4 c. boiling water

    Recipe

    1. Roll the roast in the flour until it is completely covered.
    2. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic salt all over the roast. Make sure to season all sides. (The more pepper the better).
    3. Heat oil and minced garlic in large skillet on medium heat.
    4. Once oil is hot, brown all sides of the roast. Brown sides evenly. Add more flour to spots where flour has wore off due to touching the roast.
    5. Once all sides have been browned, place roast directly into crock pot.
    6. Pour the remaining oil into the crock pot. Pour over the top of the roast. Do not rinse skillet afterwards.
    7. Return skillet to stove and add water and bouillon cubes. Bring to a boil.
    8. Remove skillet from heat and pour juice over roast.
    9. Cook on low in crock pot for 9 hrs or on high for 5 hrs. If water level in crock pot becomes extremely low, add 3/4 cup boiling water.
    10. Add potatoes and baby carrots about 1 1/2 hours before roast is finished.
    11. Cook until potatoes and carrots reach desired tenderness.
