    1 (5-lb.) beef brisket
    1 can (12 oz) tomato sauce
    1/2 cup red wine vinegar
    2 tablespoons brown sugar
    3 tablespoons liquid smoke
    1/2 cup light soy sauce
    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 cup barbecue sauce
    Hot sauce, to taste
    1/3 cup corn syrup
    1 tablespoon garlic powder
    1 tablespoon dry mustard
    6 ounces. lemon-lime soft drink, or ginger ale

    Trim brisket of all visible fat; place in slow cooker/Crock Pot.

    In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour over brisket.

    Cook on high heat for 2 hours, or until simmering. Turn heat to low and cook for 7 to 9 hours.
    Serves 12 to 15
