    Sugar Crusted Maple Cake

    Cake:

    1 pkg yellow cake mix
    1 cup water
    1/3 cup oil
    3 eggs

    Glaze:

    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup maple-flavored syrup

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350°
    Grease & flour bundt pan
    In large bowl, blend cake ingredients until moist
    Beat 2 minutes at high speed
    Pour in prepared pan
    Bake at 350° 30-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean
    In small saucepan, heat sugar & syrup until sugar is melted & mixture boils
    Pour around edges of hot cake
    Cool upright in pan 15 minutes, turn on serving plate
    Serve warm or cool
