    1 package (2 layer size) white cake mix
    1 package (4 serving) Jell-O any flavor
    1 cup boiling water
    ½ cup cold water
    3½ cups cool whip, thawed

    Recipe



    Prepare cake batter as directed on package, and pour into well greased and floured 13 x 9" pan. Bake at 350ºF for 30 to 35 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan 15 minutes; then pierce with utility fork at ½ inch intervals.
    Meanwhile, dissolve Jell-o in boiling water.
    Add cold water and pour carefully over cake.
    Chill 3 to 4 hours. Frost with cool whip and garnish with fruit, if desired
