    Ultimate Chocalate Chip Pecan Pie

    List of Ingredients




    Pie mix:
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup dark corn syrup
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
    pinch of salt
    Mix above ingredients thoroughly in a stainless steel bowl

    2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
    2 cups chopped pecans

    Pie Crust:
    4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
    4 ounces butter (cold), cut into pieces.
    1 ounch sugar
    1 egg yolk
    pinch of salt
    1/4 cup cold water

    Mix flour and butter until mixture forms into pea-sized pieces. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Form into a disk and wrap in plastic film. Chill for 1 hour in refrigerator. Rollout chilled dough to fit 9 pie pan. Par bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Add chocolate chips, then pecans. Pour pie mix over until 1/2 form top of the pie. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool to firm filling. Serve with Molasses and Bourbon Cream

    Molasses and Bourbon Cream:
    4 tablespoons molasses
    2 tablespoons bourbon
    1 cup heavy cream
    pinch of salt
    vanilla extract
    Whip above ingredients until soft peaks form. Garnish the pie with generous amount.
