    1 cup chopped onions
    1 cup chopped green pepper
    1 tablespoon butter or margarine
    1 (28-ounce) can tomatoes, cut up and undrained
    1 (4-ounce) can mushrooms, drained
    1 (2 1/4-ounce) can sliced black olives, drained
    2 teaspoons dried oregano
    1 pound ground beef, cooked and drained
    12 ounces spaghetti, cooked and drained
    2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
    1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
    1/4 cup water
    1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

    In large skillet, sauté onions and green pepper in butter until tender. Add tomatoes, mushrooms, olives and oregano. Add ground beef. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.

    Arrange half of spaghetti in prepared pan. Spoon half of ground beef mixture over top. Sprinkle on 1 cup cheddar cheese. Repeat layering.

    Combine soup and water until smooth. Pour over casserole. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Bake, uncovered, for 30 to 35 minutes, or until heated through.

    Serving quantity: Serves 12.
