    5-6 quarts popped popcorn, or 2 bags microwave popcorn, popped
    Place in large roasting pan

    1 cup (2 sticks) margarine (or butter)
    2 cups packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup light corn syrup
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Recipe



    Melt margarine. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring for 5 minutes

    Remove from heat, stir in baking soda and vanilla

    Pour over popped corn, mixing well

    Bake in 250° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes

    Remove from oven and immediately turn out onto waxed paper

    Cool completely; break apart

    Store in airtight containers
