    Oven: 350 degrees, bake 10-12 minutes, yield 2-3 dozen

    41/2 cups sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    11/4 cup sugar
    l package of Jello ( lime for green cookies, raspberry for red)
    1 cup margarine/butter
    3 eggs

    Mix together dry ingredients . Set aside.
    Cream butter or margarine, sugar, and Jello, add eggs.
    Add dry ingredients. Chill 1 hour. Roll on lightly
    floured pastry cloth. Use Xmas cookie cutters.
    Sprinkle green cookies with green sugar crystals,
    red cookies with red crystals. Place on ungreased
    cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.

    You can use other flavors of Jello for different colors,
    but I have found that lime and raspberry work best.
