    1 1/4 cup half/half
    2/3 cup pumpkin puree (canned or fresh cooked)
    2 large eggs
    1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
    1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice or ground ginger
    2 Tbsp. bourbon or dark rum (optional)

    Recipe



    Preheat over 350 and heat a tea kettle of water
    In saucepan, bring half/half to a simmer.
    In mix bowl, whisk together pumpkin, eggs, sugar, spice and liquor.
    Slowly whisk the hot milk into the egg mixture until well blended.
    Divide the custard into 6 custard or decorative cups/mugs.
    Place in deep baking pan and pour hot water halfway up the sides of the cups.
    Bake until nearly set in the center about 25-30 minutes. Remove cups from water and let cool for several minutes to serve warm or refrigerate for up to 8 hrs to serve chilled.
