    4 egg yolks
    1 3/4 cups milk
    1/3 cup sugar
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 cup whipping cream
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 cups fresh blackberries (6 oz.)

    Recipe



    In a medium, heavy saucepan beat egg yolks; stir in milk, sugar and nutmeg. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture coats a metal spoon. Remove from heat.

    Place pan in a sink or bowl of ice water; stir for 2 minutes. Stir in whipping cream and vanilla. Cover and chill for 4 to 24 hours.

    To serve, place berries in gift bottles or a glass pitcher, if desired. Pour eggnog over berries. Serve immediately. Makes 8 servings.
